' The other fruit-growing ' provinces ..were a good way behind, Hawke's Bay • scoring 67 points and Canterbury only 43. It is understood that Canterbury's display was not very representative, as "there had jusfc heen n, local show in Christchurch, and many growers had been, satisfied to exhibit there only. The judges were: Messrs. M. Shoebndge and W. H. Talbot, Of Tasmania, Tvno, on their request, were given the 'Services of Mr. S. J. Fitch to guide them as to local conditions.
