At the Supreme Court, James Buncan was acquitted on a charge of indecent assault at Maheno. Martha Graham, charged with assaulting a girl of two and a half years, was acquitted on the ground of insanity at the timo of tho offence, and an order was made for her detention until the pleasure of the Minister of Justico is known. Llewellyn Hall,'for the theft' of a cheque for over £70, was admitted to probation for two years, and ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution. Ann Hardy was ordered to pay the costs of the prosecution (£l2 9s. 6d.) .and £50 by way of restitution for committing mischief at Kurow by damaging, a house and contents to tho extent of about -£100.
