Waiki BeefsGigantic Consolidation, Limited, reports under date May 2:—"I be* to rcnort for the past -week as follows:—Driving west crosscut through new reef at 300 feet level has been continued, and footwall of reef exposed at.35 feet, driven since intersecting quartz. The footwall portion of the last 10 feet driven is well defined, and the reef where penetrated shows a decided underlie to the east and course north-east and 6outh-west. The country Took on footwall side is strong andesite, containing plenty of mineral. Driving will he carried into footwall a sho.rt distance, and if no further quartz is met with, driving north-cast on reef will be commenced on footwall side.' There is no increase of water. I will now take samples in. sections for full width of reef."
