Herr Ledebour (Socialist leader), speaking in the Reichstag, said tho arrest of a deputation which visited Herr von Bethmann-Hollweg constitutes a smack in tho faco for the whole Labour world. Both are convinced of the justice of the war. The German Parliament was based on the freest electoral system in the world. There was no difference .between the people and the Government. A wireless message states that Herr Batocki (the German Food Control-, ler), reporting to the Food Committee of the Reichstag, stated that apart from the pigs that had been killed under official sanction,' 5,400,000 head, included in the last census,, had absolutely disappeared. This was due to secret slaughter by owners.
