£100,000 FROM THE NIZAM
The Nizam of Hyderabad has offered, and the Admiralty has gratefully ac _ copted, .£IOO,OOO. as a gift towards its anti-submarine campaign. The Nizam, who is 31 and was installed in 1911, is India's richest ruler. His income is said to he about .£500,000 a year. Ho has given many evidences of his devotion to Great Britain, and in September, 19U, ho gave £100.000 to defray the entire expenses while on service overseas of the Ist Hyderabad Imperial Service Lancers and. the 20th Deccan Horse.
