DEMANDS OF. THE A.P.U. ,-. The following demands for rural workers, not including shearers; havo .been agreed 'upon by the Agricultural and Pastoral .Workers' Union:— Wagoners, £3 per week and found. Ploughmen: (4 horses), £2 10s. por K week and found. Ploughman (6 horses), £2 15s. per week and found. . Heacl ploughman, 6s. extra. - Cowman, £2 per week and found, Cooks (malo and female, for 5 men), £2 10s. per week and found. ■ Cooks (male and female, over 5 men), £3 per week and found. ' Casual hands, 10s. per day and found. Gorsegruhbers, ditchers, and woodcutters, 10s. per day and found. When working in wet places, gum boots to bo found by employers. ■ Fencers, 15s. per day and found. •. Babbit poisoners, 10s. per day and found. Where married 1 couples are engaged, 'the men to receive above wages; the wife, if engaged as cook, to receive wages as sot down above. If tho wife is. engaged in other domestic duties sho is to receive £1 ss. per week and found. • ' HARVEST HANDS. Harvester hands other than reaper and binder drivers and stack builders, Is: 6d. per hour. " Stack builders, 2s. per hour. ' ..Reaper and binder drivers, £4 10s. • per week. . - v, -,Feeders, 3s. per 100 bags and found. • Sheaf hands, 2s. 6d. per 100 bags and found. .
