TWO INQUESTS AT GISBORNB. ■ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Clsborne, May 7.. 'At an inquest regarding the death of Charles Calder, a lighterman, who was drowned on Saturday, the Magistrate found that deceased was in. charge of a lighter and had control_ of the tiller, which possibly became displaced by a sudden Toll of the sea, thereby throwing him into the sea, and that thereby he received a severe shock, causing his death.
At an inquest on Henry Hoare, killed at Patutahi, a verdict that deceased met his death by being run over by a taxi, no blame being attached to anyone, was Teturned.
LABOURER'S SUDDEX DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. PaHlatua, May 7. George Walter Fear, a labourer residing at Mangatainoka, aged sixtyfive, went out to milk this morning, and later was discovered by his wife in a stato of collapse. Ho expired before reaching the house. Deceased had been subject lately to heart seizures. / FATAL KICK BY A HORSE. Auckland, May 7. Vera Jean Davies, aged nine, died in the hospital to-day as tho rosult of a kick on the head by a horse on Tuesday.
