RETURNED SOLDIERS AT DUNEDIN
f MEN'IN BETTER CONDITION.] f ■ " THAN THE AVERAGE. By Telegraph'.—Press Association. Dunedin, May 2. Fifty-seven soldiers, nine of whom lave returned for duty, have arrived here. Trooper James Howard Mitchell, ; of Palmerston North, who was suffering from gunshot wounds, died en route. ~ ' The only cot case is Prank Culverbouse, Canterbury Mounted Rifles. The - '- 1 - ' rest of the men seem to be in better , condition than the average of .returned soldiers.' Capt. Simson, of Wellington, is the medical officer. He says the men j" enormously improved on the trip. The ; officer in charge is Major Bennett, Bay I ' of Plenty. 1 The men for tile north and south t leave early to-morrow morning.
