Information reached Sydney on April 25 to the efl'cct that the former Kosioos liner Sesostris. after boing ashore for ten years, ft- again afloat, and is to at once undergo repairs in order to bo placed in commlfisi-on. Tho Sesostris, it will bo recalled, was driven ashore during a scraro storm ou March. 5, 1907, at Ocos, Central America, and remained fast until bo recently. Many attempts to float tho vessel wore made shortly after she first went on tho sand beach, but she was finally abandoned and sold. Having been firmly embedded in the sand all these years, and always on an even keel, sho is reported to bo still in almost as good condition as the day uho was driven ashore. Needless to say sa.lvers will probably realise a handsome profit in tho faco of the present high prices to which tonnage has soared. AMOKURA AND HINEMOA. ! Mr. G. According to the Dunedin "Star," repairs to the old barque Antiopo have been completed at Port Chalmers. Most of the new sails have been bent, and the vessel now presents & very smart and seaworthy appearance. Tho Kennedy is duo to-day from Picton, and loaves again to-day for The Grove, where she will load produce for Wellington. She is duo baok to-morrow 1 or, Saturday. The Blenheim is due to-morrow from Pelorus Sound and Havelock, and is fixed to mp-ke a trip to Waifcara, leaving here on Monday next. The Kikau is now due here about daybreak to-morrow with passengers only. She is fixed to go on the slip at 8' o'clock to-morrow morning, and will probably resume running in the "\Vellington-Nelson-Motueka service on Saturday. The Defender, with timber, is to leave Hokitika to-day for Wellington direct. She should arrive on Saturday, and is fixed to leave on Monday on the return trip. The Tarawera is duo from Auckland, via ports, on Tuesday next, and goe3 on to Lyttelton and Dunedin the same day. She is due back on the following Monday, and goes north. Tho Corinna is due from i*Tew Plymouth to-day, and is to leave on Friday for the same port. _ The vessel has mUsed coll-' iner at Wellington once or twice recently. Tho Kowhai has been further delay«l, and now leaves here to-day at li a.m. for Westport and Greymouth. The Orepuki leaves to-day at 6 p.m. for Nydia Bay, and is duo back on Monday with a full cargo of timber.
