; METING Off THE BOARD. The ordinary meeting of tifo TVel- ' lington Technical School Board was held last night. There were present: Messrs. 6. ITrost (in • the chair), Part-' ridge, W. Allan, C. M. Lnke, W. J. .Thompson, A. Atkins, T.'Ballanger, H. 'M. Gore, G. L. Stewart, and the Hou. •J. G. "W. Aitken. '. Mr. Forsyth was welcomed to the board by 'the chairman', and the new member made proper acknowledgment • of the compliment. At the.last,meeting of the board a letter was received through the Education Department, which informed the board 'of the establishment of the Imperial Trust for the encouragement of industrial research as a post-war activity, and tho letter was reported to tho education committee of the board. . /
This committee did_ not report finally on the communication at the meeting last night, but recommended that before coming to a final conclusion tho board should consult the Industrial Association and the Ironmasters' Association. This recommendation was adopted. An application ivas received from the Workers' Educational Association for tho use of a room in the. Technical School building. Tho application was granted.
