SWIMMING
The racea for boys were commenced for the season on Saturday evening. The races are open to all boys, there isi no entrance fee, • and a prize is awarded to first and second. The .following is the result of the 33 1-3 yarde handicap: -First heat: W. M'Gill, scr., 1; K. Oilson, 3sec, 2; W. Bing, 4sec., 3. Also started: A. Boss, 2sec; Percy, P. Wilson, ssec. Time, 19 l-ssec. Second heat: A. Tarrant, 2aeo., ,1; J. Sinclair, 3sec, 2; S. Dempster, ssec., 3. Also started: W. Hauley, 4sec; T. Cohimb, ecr. Time, 20s«; Third heat: E. Tbomhill, 3sec, 1: C. Eusterholz, ieec.. 2; A. Thomson, 3sec, 3. Also started: L. Barker; If. Greenfield. Time, 22sec. Final: W. M'GiU and A. Tarrant, dead heat, 1; B. ThomMU, 3. In the swim-off, A. Tarrant won from W. M'Gill by 4ft. These races will be continued every Saturday evening.
