A WHEAT SHORTAGE IN NEW ZEALAND

'' As a result of the meeting of the Chamber of Commerce, a telegram was dispatched to-day to the Acting-Pre-mier pointing out that there will be a serious wheat shortage before' next crop, and urging the Government to take i steps to deal- with the question by taking control of all wheat in the Dominion, and by the immediate importation of .wheat or flour from Australia. Some local will have to close down in a few days, unless they procure supplies.
