RIFLE SHOOTING
The Karori Dofenoe Rifle Club will fire the final match for the O.A.C. Cup this afternoon on the Petone Rifle Club's Range at Waiwetu, the ranges being 800, ( JOO, and 1000 yards. Trophies have been provided for the handicap men.
Helping tho Blue Cross. The lady members of tlio Auckland branch of the New Zealand Society for tho Prevention of Cruelly to Animals have collected during the past year ovor £500 for tho Blue Cross Fund formed in England for tlio purpose of treating sick and wounded horses in war time. The sum of £200 was remitted in August, 1916, to tlio headquarters of the fund in London, and a further £300 was dispatched in December last, leaving in hand the sum of £36 7s. lid.
