NEW CONDENSED MILK FACTORY. It is not gonorally known that the Nestles' and Anglo-Swiss ■ Condensed Milk Company has purchased a property of over thirty acres in the vicinity of Palmerston North, and that thereon is .to be erected an extensive factory for the production of tho wellknown Nestles' condensed milk. In all probability but for the war tho buildings would already havo been up and tho industry in active operation. Still, oven at this critical timo, tho initial step in construction has been taJen. A cablegram received from Lcidon early this month direoted that two artesian wells, capable of supplying, at least 500,000 gallons of water daily, straightway shoud bo sunk. This work, therefore, is not only already m baud,' but it can be expected that immediately tho war is over further and rapid progress will at once bo made. It should be mentioned that in Australia already there aro two extensive Nestles' condensed milk factories—one iii Victoria, tho other in Queensland. ]
