The long arm of tho law has been demonstrated at Ruanui, where the Taihape police arrested a man named Robert Hamilton, otherwise known, as Sydney Bob, who had been wanted by the police for over five years. He is alleged to have stolen, on or about April ,19. 1912, from the person-, of John Cannody, the sum of £7o Ids. .Accused lias been before the Court and been remanded till April 28, being allowed in two sureties of hlw each. .'•■-. Bail was not forthcoming.
