Mrs. Tonnant can also turn to a great band of women who have been organising voluntary associations since the beginning ,of the,.war, including: Lady head of-Women's Legions, 72 Upper Berkeley Street, W. Has supplied women for the Army as cooks and motor-transport drivers, also for the land, and has organised canteens. Without these it would liavei been impossible to employ women on munitions. Miss Picton Turborville, organiser of welfare and. hostel schemes for_ the Young Women's Christian Association all over tho country. Miss B. Picton Turberville, a serious rival to her twin sister. Organiser of welfare schemes and hostels for young women at centres where the Young Men's Christian _ Association, under whom she works, is already established.
