FEW TRAM CARS
A STRIKE SERVICE YESTERDAY. The Wellington public had their first taste yesterday of the inconvenience the strike is likely to entail if it continues. For the purposes of most people there were no cars running. In actual fact a very infrequent service was running to ■ certain districts, and a, universal fare 1 of sixpence was ■charged.' The cars that were running were by no means rushed. Apparently the h\k fare was a sufficiently strong deterrent.
