Present indications aro for variable -winds ' -with easterly and south-easterly predominating and increasing in and '' northwards of Cook Strait, 'Weather fair to cloudy generally, but.there are. indications for the development of a cyclone to the north-ivest of the Dominion, and stormy -weather is likely soon in the northern districts. The barometer has a falling tendency, especially in the north. The barometer has continued much above normal, and southerly, and easterly breezes have prevailed.
