Mr. C. G. Wade has been formally appointed Agent-General for New South . Wales for a limited term.—Press As- : sociation. Mr. James Macintosh has ,been appointed by the Government to be a , member of the Public; Trust Office Board. Lieut. P. M'Evedy, of the R.A.M.C., who was reported yesterday to be ill in hospital in Engand, is a brother of Dr. M'Evedy, of Wellington. Lieut. M'Evedy, who is suffering from appendicitis, was house surgeon at Guy's Hospital, London, before going on active service. Mr. Richard Tree Badham, of the accountancy firm of Badham and Biss, Wellington, died on Wednesday evening after a long l illness. The late Mr. Badham, who was born in Loudon 68 years ago, came to Wellington in 1878. As an accountant, he was at the top of his profession, and was very highly .esteemed. He was' of a retiring disposition, ar.d did not take part in public life. He leaves a widow. It was reported at yesterday's meeting of the "Wellington Hospital Board that the Ministers co sent had been received to the appointment of Miss Stott as Matron of the Wellington Hospital. Mr. J. W. M'Ewan has been ap-~ pointed by the Governor to be a member of the Licensing Committee _of Hutt. Mr. W. Beck has been appointed to the Palmerston Committee. The appointment of Mr. A. M. Adams as chief executive officer of !the Munitions and Supplies Department is gazetted. ■.' ', . .■' Mr. Frederick W. Marsh, who joined the staff of the Wellington Working Men's Club, eight years ago, and for the past five years has occupied the position of manager, has also been appointed secretary of the club, in succession to Mr. Thomas Smith, who has resigned. He will take over the sec-, retarial duties from Saturday next.
