Two of the principal matters to .be discussed at tho Dental Conference next week will be tlie Hon. C. W. Bus- ■ sell's proposals regaling school children's teeth and the treatment of soldiers' teeth. It is understood that delegates from other places who are coming to the conference have shown some; anxiety regarding the question of whether, in view of the present labour troubles they will be able to get away from Wellington after the conference. The local executive state that ■ from thorough inquiries they hare made they feel quite certain that delegates need have no fear of being held up in Wellington. The sequel to an affiliation case in the City Police Court was the'arrest of the parents of the complainant, says the "Otago Daily Times." It appears that as the parties left the Courif the girl's mother, who was somewhat irate at the case- being dismissed, attacked the defendant, and a general melee took place aiuid the shrieks of the girl. The - Court orderly then' appeared on the scene, and was in the act of separating the woman and the defendant when, the husband took a hand in the proceedings. Ho was promptly placed under arrost along with his wife.
