Hearing of the charge of perjury against Tioki Hapa Hakaipero in connection with tho Rua trial at Auckland was" continued in the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Hoskmg. During the examination of Mr. J. Cullen, ex-Commissioner of Mice, witness said the story put up by the natives about the first shot was pure, deliberate concoction., After some arguing on tho question of admissions it was agreed that the following admissions by.the Crown be accepted:—(l) The Crown makes no suggestion that either Mr. David , Lundon, the surveyor, or Mr. Carter, solicitor, Rotorua, arranged the story told by "the defendant r.nd tho other Natives about the first shot, and no suggestion is niado in this case that Mr. Lundon , constructed the story. The case for the defenco opened this afternoon. '
