Riddell, S.M., conducted an inquest at tho Courthouse yesterdayafternoon touching the death of Thomas Henry Kirby, a Tetired • locomotive engine-driver, aged sixty-three yearSj . ■who died suddenly at his residencej 1/. Thorndon Quay, on Sunday morning.. It was stated in evidence that the de-' ceased,had. suffered from shortness of breath'and pains round the heart arid shoulders. Dr. Henry stated that the man died from naWira,l causes, and pxpressed the opinion that the actual cause of death was heart failure. ■ The .;•.« verdict was that death was due to heart failure. . '
