PATRIOTIC AUCTION
To-morrow, afternoon at the OpercE House a special effort is to be made to obtain funds for the Returned Soldiers' Club. Perhaps tho feature of the afternoon will lie the auction salo of tho autographed Union" Jack,' which is on viow at the Singer Company's depot in Willis Street. It is anticipated that there will he keen competition also for the front seats for Anzao Day concert, which is to be held at the Opera House on Monday night. An excellent programme for to-morrow has heen arranged by J. C. Williamson's Company, including items by the Trentham Military Band. Afternoon tea will he provided. It is said that Mr. Robert Greig is a first-class auctioneer, and Miss Beatrice. Holloway is a charming assistant. There will be no charge tw admission.
