PATRIOTIC AUCTION
OF AUTOGRAPHED UNION JACK. As. some of the Wairarapa patriots are coming down to Wellington for the auction ' sale of the autographed Union Jack, which is to be offered by Mr. Robert Greig and Miss Beatrice Holloway on Wednesday afternoon at the Opera House, a good round sum is likely to be raised. Already the flag has been autographed by over 200 returned soldiers and man-o'-war's-men. The Trentham Camp Military Fund will assist the J. C. Williamson Company to entertirin the audience, and afternoon tea will be provided. The flag will always be a remembrance of tbo first Anzac Day. ; During Wednesday afternoon Mr.. Robert Greig will also sell by auction the private boxes nnd the front seats for the Anzac Day Concert, which takes place on Monday night next. The proceeds from the auction sale will be devoted to the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Club.
