MEETING OP COUNTY COUNCIL,

The Makara County Council met yesterday morning. Mr. J. Haggerty presided. ■■'.'.- The clerk reported that there was a credit balance at the bank of £409. A remit from the Eketalnma County 'Council urged that the Government be requested to establish cold storage at the four main centres or in conjunction with the- present works, so as to be able to store all surplus meat and dairy produce and have the produce of the country shipped regularly all the year round. The communication was "received." ; The council decided to prosecute •persons illegally taking shingle from the Ohiro Bay Koad Reserve.
