INVESTMENT BHAEEB. Yesterday's quotations for investment shares were as follow:—
Customs duties collcctcd at the port of Wellington yesterday amounted to £2139 lis. lid. COMMONWEALTH 5i PER CENT. LOAN UNDEKWEITTEN. ml _ „ London, April 11. The Oommonwealth three- and a half million loan, at 55 per cent, interest, issued at 98 and redeemable in 1922-27, has been underwritten. Tho prospectus will be issued on Friday. 1, instalment of 50 per cent.' is payable on June 18, and six months' interest is .payable on December 1. It is estimated that the loan will yield the investor £5 15s. per cent., as compared with the present yield of the British War Loan, £5 14s. 6d.
