London, April 11. A special corps of New Zealand miners took part in an extraordinary extensive mining operation which preceded the battle of Arras. There, was. strong rivalry amongst, various corps for the record length, of thb galleries dug. The New Zealanders were first, and the Scottish wero a hundred yards behind.—United Service.
