MEETING OF THE COUNCIL.

A meeting of tho Karori Borough Council was held last 1 evening, "the Mayor (Mr. B. G. H. Burn) presiding. There wero also present: Councillors AV. Skegg, AV. C„ Cooper, J. AV. Henderson, and R. Faire. The New Zealand .Catholic Federation wrote with respect to the censorship of films, and suggesting.that there should bo a right of . appeal to somebody representing the publio against any decision of the censor, and stating that a- conference had been convened for April 19,' and requesting the support of the council. The Mayor was appointed to represent the borough. Tho AVaipara County Council's resolution with respect/to inducing "householders to grow potatoes and vegetables were read and were heartily endorsed by the council. Accounts amounting to £226 125.9d. pero passed for payment. , .
