Alexander Aspin, fori breaking his prohibition order, was fined 405., tho alternative being to serve seven days in gaol. Jack Watson was alleged to have walked into the Egmont Private Hotel and stolen a-hat, valued at 12s. 6d., tho property of William Bell. He was convicted and fined £1, in. default seven days' imprisonment. A youth- named Harold Frederick William Ward, for whom Mr. P. J. O'Regan appeared, pleaded guilty to the theft of £1 12s.i worth of scrap lead, tho property of his employer (John P. Casey). Mr. O'Regan said that the lad had borne a good character, and his employer was willing to givo him another chanco. Accused was convicted and ordered to como up for sentence when called upon, and his fathor was ordered to make restitution. Frederick Wilson, charged with being an idlo and disorderly person in that ho possosscd insufficient lawful means of support, was convicted, and a prohibition order was issued against Philip George Keszlor, for whom Mr P. J. O'E/egan appeared, was charged with failing to comply with tho terms of a niaintonanco order. Ho was convicted and ordered to pay the amount in arrears forthwith. A soamnn named Mat. Leppols, was remanded for a'week on a charge.' of j ship desertion. . ,
