Competition started very keenly, but towards tho finish prices about equalled last week's. Extra priino bullocks, £24 10s.; prime, £22; ordinary, £18 10s.; primo heifers, £17 10s. Sheep.—Two thousand three hundred 'and soveny-oight' were penned. Butchers competed keenly. Prices advanced about Is. except for light unfinished. Extra prime heavy wethers, 525. 9d.; prime,' 455. 9d. to 495. 9d.; medium, 375. to 435. 'fid.; light, 30s. to 335.; extra primo heavy owes, 60s. 9d.; prime, 40s. to 465. 3d ; medium, 345. to 385.; light, 265. to 31s. , Lambs.—Ono thousand six hundred and eighty-four were penned, a largo proportion of which was medium frec!!fng. Buyers wore cautious. Best, 295.; medium, 265.; light, 235. Pigs.—There was a small yarding, and the demand was keen. Best baconors, 735. 4d. (Bdl lb.); porkers, 9d. lb.
