THE WEATHER
FORECAST AND SUMMARY AT 4 P.M. YESTERDAY. Present indications are for freshening easterly .winds, northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and strong and variable : winds with. 6outh-easterlies • prevailing southwards. ; Dull and mißty weather expected, -with rain probable, especially in the northern and East Coast districts.' The barometer has a falling tendency in the north. Although the barometer is above normal , over the Dominion, relatively . low pressure is still located to the north-west. The .weather has been cloudy and unsettled, and rain has fallen in most parts of the country. Variable winds ha.ve prevailed, with northerly breezes predominating in;the northern districts and moderately strong easterlies and aoutherlies elsewhere. ■' . ,■ D. 0. BATES.
