RIFLE SHOOTING

RAILWAY ENGINEERS VERSUS P. AND T. ENGINEERS. A teams' rifle shooting matoh was fired at Polhill Gully range on Easter Monday, between teams representing the Wellington companies of the aoove Engineer Corps. Condition: 10 men per team, ranges 200 and 300 yards, 7 shots and eighter, rifles' as issued from Defence Stores (service sights and without slings), service scoring. The matoh resulted in a very interesting and exoiting finish, the Eailway Engineers eventually coming out victors with a margin of 6 points. The final scores were: Eailway, 385; P. and T., 379.
