SPORTS MEETING

BAPTIST YOUNG MEN'S UNION,

The annual sports meeting of the North Island Baptist Young Men's' Bible Union was held on Saturday. In the morning the swimming sports were held at the Boys' Institute. Here some very good performances were noted. The young men who are at present holding their annual camp at Tawa Flat were welcomed by the Mayor of Wellington (Mr. J. P. Luke), and after the sports were over they were entertained at luncheon by Mr. Nees and a. party : of ladies. In the afternoon the- sports meeting was continued in the Basin Reserve, where some more good. performances were witnessed.
