'At the Presbyterian Young Men's Bible Class Union's annual conference, being held afc.the Lower Hutt Park, opportunity was taken to present to Mr. Geo. A , . Troup, of Wellington, a bound illuminated address signed by all tho leaders of tho class connected with the Young Women's and Young 'Jlen's Bible Unions, in recognition of his long and valued service rendered to Bible work in New Zealand in bis capacity of convener of the Assembly's Bible Class Committee, from which position he had recently rotired. The presentation was made by Mr. H. B. Bnrnett (president of the Young Men's Bible Class Union), who expressed the universal regret felt by ail members at Mr. Tronp's retirement. Mr. Troup, in his reply, _stated that .he'was convinoed the Bible Class movement was at the beginning of a new era of use fulness, and would make great advances .after.the war.
