On Easter Monday, April 9, tho Chief Post Office will be opon in all its branches (except Money Order and Savings, Bank) from' 9 /to 10 a.m. Mails for dispatch by steamers will close at 8 a;m., and the only dispatches of . correspondence by trains will close as follows :-For the Wairarapa, Hawke's- Bay, Manawatu, • Rangitikei, Wanganui, and. Taranaki districts'at 5.45, a.m.; for Auckland and Auckland district at 6 a.m. The cityand ] suburban receivers will not be cleared during the day, but night/clearances, will be made as usual. There will be no delivery, of correspondence .by letter-carriers in the city or suburbs, but on Saturday, April 7. the letter-carriers will make a full delivery in tho city and suburbs in the afternoons for which correspondence must be posted at the Chief Post Office by 1.40 p.m. The Letter-carriers' Department (upstairs ■ from -Featherston. Street) will be open from ,8 to 9 p.m. on Saturday for tho delivery of correspondence addressed to streets in the city and sub-, urbs; also the public delivery counter will be' open from 8 to 9 p.m. for .the delivery of correspondence addressed, to. tne Post Office, and the parcels delivery, counter will be open^from'B to.9 p .p b m. roBN : , . .
