A REVERSE AT THE STOCHOD

'A wireless Russian official message states: We threw back the enemy, who temporarily occupied our trenches in regions southward of Illukst and southward of. Krevo. The enemy heavily bombarded with | chemical shells our positions::at; the river passage of the Stochod. In the region' of St. Chefvitch and Gilenin station the enemy discharged thirteen aas waves, pressing back our .troops. The Germans crossed the Stochod northeast of Gilonin. In retiring across the ■Stochod some of our detachments lost heavily; : '• ■ ■ .' We occupied three rows of Austrian trenches six miles westward of Rafailova, in the Carpathians, south of Lemberg.
