London, April 1. An official report from Mesopotamia stales: The enemy's attempted converging movement from tho Shatt-el-Adhaim and Deli Abbas 021 our Deltawa detachment failed. Tho enemy's movement from Deli Abbaa was contained, and his troops arc now in full retreat. Wo attacked the Sbatt-el-Adhaini force on Thursday, and after sovcre fighting occupied the wholo position. Soveral counter-attacks faited, and the enemy is again retreating to the right bank of tho Shatt-el-AdhaimAus., N.Z. Cable Assn.-Beuter.

The Higli Commissioner's report adds: "In the action at "tho Shatt-cl-Adhaim on Thursday, tlTo enemy left 121 unwounded and many wounded prisoners,, in our hands." . ' .
