Mr. Loughnan, who appeared for the company, contended that the appellant was engaged in an essential industry, if pot in a practical, at least in a technical sense. ' ' _ , The chairman (Mr; H. W. The appellant himself raised religious objection-to service, stating that he was a'.member'.of the Community 9f the Son of QSd. . ' ' The chairman'said it should be well known now that the, 'only religious sects which' came ; within 'the exclusion section of the'. "Cowley's personal appeal would be dismissed.
