Wade (the newly-ap-pomted Agent-General for New South Wales), in an interview, said' he had spent six weeks in the United States, equally between ' Bast and West. He interviewed Mr. Roosevelt, Mr. Lansing (Secretary of State), and ffiftny other politicians, business men, financiers, and bankers. His general conclusion was' that America was now preponderatingly pro-Ally. Thero was still some soreness. regarding British methods with neutral, shipping. Ho attended Congress during the Ziminerinanti letter disclosures regarding Mexico. I : _ Mr. Wade is of opinion that Eastern America Will gladly, support the President against Germany, and that the West will quickly swing into ,line.
