—- —-•- ■ Tho return match between tho Eastbourne Borough Council and the Bowling Club, which took place last Saturday, proved to bo the most enjoyable function of tho season, all tho bowlers being the guests of the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Kelly). The result of the,game is as follows:— Cliitty's rink beat Pilcher's, 19—18; Levi also defeated Shortt, 28—20; Simpson defeated Morris, 19—16. Totals-Council, 62; Bowling Club, 58. At the close of tho game an adjournment was made,- when the health of the Mayor and Mayoress was toasted with musical honours. Sincere regret was expressed at the _ fact of the Mayor's health preventing his not being'able to stand again for tho Mayoralty of tho borough.'
