Its functions wore regulated by the nature of the subject under disoussion. .■■ ' Mr,._P. Morrelh If it is executive, what is its relation to tho War Cabinet of Five? Is it superior or subordinate? ' Mr. Bonar Law: It would be difficulty and not very desirable to define these relations, which aro "entirely friendly.—-Reuter. THE DISCUSSIONS. (Rec. March 30,1.25 a.m.) London, March 29. Tho Empire Council Cabinet lunched with Their Majesties at ißuokingham Palace. Mr. Massoy states-that the Confer-: ence is discussing the immediate conduct of tho war, questions of food, shipping, and laying the foundation of a great conference after the war on post-war problems, including tho administration of the German colonies and Imperial trade. Ireland has not yet been mentioned. "1 hope," said Mr. Massey, "this will not be referred to tho Dominions, because that would drag Ireland into the Doniinious' politics, and mean ; a lengthy investigatory visit to Ireland. Sir Joseph Ward states that tho majority of the delegates are in favour of Dominion arbitration for Ireland, but,it is not likely.to be discussed at the Conference till the end of April.— Aus.-N.Z.
