Tho Union Company advise that the Tarawera, which is duo hero to-day, -will take perishable cargo only for Lyttelton and Dunedin, and will sail for those ports at 5 p.m. to-day. HUDDART-PARKER, LTD. Tho directors of the Huddart, Parker Oompany have, says a southern exchange, declared a half-yearly dividend at the rate of 6 per cent, on preference shares and 8 per cent, on ordinary shares, with a bonus of 1 per cent, on tho ordinary shares. number of years on the company's lino she was sent to the West Coast for ueb as a hulk. After many years' service on the West Coast tho Trongate "was Bold to her present owners at a sum which, was higher than her original cost, and converted into a barque again. Large sheds are in course of construction at the port, and on completion it 13 expected that they will be capablo of holding some 20,000 tons of cargo. Preparatory to the Putiki beinE put up for auction to-morrow tho vessel's crow has signed off, as she has laid up. Tho auxiliary schooncr Houto arrived o.t Dunedin 011 Friday afternoon from Onchungo, after an uneventful voyage of ten days. Tho vessel carried a. full cargo of scrap iron. On completion of discharge t.ho Houto will undergo survey and overhaul at Port Chalmers, and will alEo hn,vo a. new set of crude oil engines installed. The Kaka-po should leave GrcymouUi tonight for Wellington. • The Corinna arrived at New Plymouth early yesterday morning frf>m Wellington and Nelson. Sho should leavo that port at 10 p.m. to-day for Wellington, and will sail on Thursday for Dunedin. Tho Komata- was to havo left WestporL at midnight for Wellington. vSho has coal and timber for hero, and should arrive to-night. Tho Kittawa is to go to Shelly Bay to load explosives to-day, and from there will proceed on to Westport.
