Hβ declares experience has taught him the fallacy of Etakiug everything on one turn of the wheel of fate. Livermore said:—"After I lost 2,000,000d0l in my last play .on cotton, I decided it would be wiser to stop 1 plunging and try along more conservative lines. I went into bankruptcy, not because I wanted to avoid paying my creditors, hut because I realised that ev.ery time I got 10,00Mol. •somebody would come along and get it, so that I would be unable to obtain a start. I have since paid off every dollar. I got my start in Bethlehem Steel shares, when they were selling around lOOdol. each. T purchased and sold Bethlehem Steel several times during the sharp rise, and made my hnal deal .around 400dol. a share, bubsequently I purohased other 'war:brides and took part in the rise of the cotton i and the grain merlceta. , '
