Mac Donald, Minister of Agriculture, visited the Elles- * mero and -Rakaia districts to-day, and on almost evory hand the Minister was given, evidences of the difficulties lesuhing from the shortage of capable workers. In some instances the tarm'ers averred that indications "are not absent of s«nothing like a "go slow" policy being in operation. At any rate, whether it is due to that policy ' or the incapacity of some of the men now employed on ths farms, they did only about two-thirds of the work, that in ordinary ciicumstances othor men did.
