SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE
. A meeting, fortius purpose of considering the formation of a Second Division League in Wellington will be: held on. J. uesday evening next, in. the Town Hall Concert Chamber. His Worship the Mayor has consented to preside, but as lie may leave for the south before the meeting Councillor ,Veitck will tako the chair an his stead. The conveners consider that . the . Second Division men should have an opportunity of forming an organisation through which they can, make official representations to the authorities on matters affecting their military service. The desire is to assist the Government, and not to hamper in any. way the carrying/out of the various war provisions; but as many difficult matters will surround the calling up of the Second Division, they consider that thise matters should be faced,at once, with a view to preventing avoidable hardship. •
