TRENTHAM SOLDIERS' CLUB
SLOW RETURNS. About a fortnight ago the Major (Mr. J. P. Luke) made a special appeal for funds with which- to furnish the.new Soldiers' Club at Trentham (for officers and men). Tho sum of £2000 tvas required, but so far only £546 16s. 9d. has been received, and the response is becoming slower and slower. The latest subscribers include tho following names:—Mrs. Joseph, £10 10s.: Miss Joseph, £10 10s.: N.Z.' Candle Company, £5 ss. j.Mrs. Moorhouse, £5.
