IMPERIAL CONFERENCE
PROCEEDINGS IN CAMERA. London, March 21. Mr. W. H. Long (Colonial Secretary) and Mr. Austen Chamberlain (Secretary for India) welcomed the Imperial Conference delegates at the Colonial Office. Mr. Lloyd George was absent owing to pressure of business. Mr. Long presided, and the Conference lasted for two hours, and then adjourned till Saturday. A report of the proceedings has not been published. It is understood the Conference has decided, owing to the most immodiato subjects being associated I 'with the mili-' tary operations, that it would be inadvisable to disolose the proceedings.— Aus.-N.Z.
