iCITY COUNCIL DECIDES TO DISTRIBUTE.. : There was but the barest mention of Ahe long-debated milk question on the 1 order-paper of last meeting jof the City Council. The subject was I xioalfc -with (on a report that was not . made available to the Press) in committee, and after over an hour's free [discussion a momentous decision was I arrived at. ' j The resolution passed at the con-. J, elusion of the discussion was as follows:— ■ "That the council enter into negotiations for the purpose of carrying crat amtmioigal scheme of . milk distribution." In the oourso of the open meeting one Councillor mentioned that people .ia "William Street (Highland Park) Had bean left with ho milk supply, and had ■applied to three dairies, bill were informed that they had olosed down, as they could not get any. mijk. Tnat was a strange. stato of things when •marble bars could get • hundreds of ' gallons for milk-6hakes : and . ether iantastio drinks. ; The Mayor then interposed that the matter was to be fully gone into, in 1 committee.
