SECOND DIVISION
The public meeting which is to bo held in the Concert Chamber on Tuesday evening next for the purpose of forming a Second Division League in Wellington, is crenting considerable interest, and a largo attendance of reservists is anticipated. Tho conveners report that they have been approached by large numbers seeking information, and they desire it to be made known that they are acting in a provisional capacity as conveners only, and it will be left entirely to the meeting to.determine what course shall be pursued, and if thought fit appoint a committee to carry on the executive work. The chief objects are to_ secure adequate allowances and. pensions for dependants, and to assist the authorities in every way possible to carry out New Zealand's part in tho war. Tho league will be strictly non-political. His Worship the Mayor (Mr. ,T. P. Luke) has consented to preside on Tuesday.
