MORAL LESSONS IN SCHOOLS
Sir,—l feel that I' must congratulate Mr. H. A. Parkinson on his coming round to the opinion held by the supporters of the Bible -'in'- Schools party—that something more ; is necessary than tile moral lessons prescribed by the public school, syllabus. His words at a meeting "the other evening werej "the moral training of New Zealand children, is left in a considerable measure to chance-rchance, coloured largely by the picture show, tho totalisator, 'Tatts,' and so on." I hope that one of the first signs of the national awakening that all churchmen are praying for will be the introduction of the Bible into the public schools of the am, etc.. D.-M. YEATS.
